Ada 7 jenis probe untuk bekerja dengan Leeb hardness tester untuk aplikasi yang berbeda, yaitu D / DC / D+15 / C / G / E /DL.
- Perangkat Dampak Universal D – Untuk sebagian besar persyaratan pengujian kekerasan.
- DC – Digunakan di ruang yang sangat terbatas, mis. dalam lubang, silinder atau untuk pengukuran internal pada mesin rakitan.
- DL – Untuk pengukuran di ruang yang sangat terbatas atau di dasar alur.
- D+15 – Untuk pengukuran di alur atau permukaan yang tersembunyi.
- C – Komponen yang diperkeras permukaan, pelapis, komponen berdinding tipis atau komponen sensitif benturan (lekukan berukuran kecil).
- G – Komponen berat atau kasar padat. misalnya coran dan tempa berat.
- E – Untuk material super keras.
